Museums are repositories of art, culture and heritage. Bihar as a state in itself is a mine of history and cultural heritage. The Chandrahari Museum in Darbhanga is a museum of one of its kind when it comes to the objects in display and storage. The museum has an opulent and wide collection of Ivory artefacts that are intricately decorated and tell the story of Darbhanga’s rich history. RATH had the opportunity to assess the condition of the objects in the museum and prepare an estimate for their conservation treatment.
