1. Workshop under Heritage Stewardship Campaign
Our motto at RATH is to preserve and conserve our heritage and in order to do so we strongly believe that it has to be collective effort. For this purpose, RATH organized a workshop under Heritage Stewardship Campaign as Maharaja Lakshmishwar Public Library, Darbhanga. The topic of this workshop was ‘Preventive Conservation of Archival Materials’. In this workshop, we carried out a training program for the library staff and few more participants who shared the idea of safeguarding heritage. It was guided demonstration for a group of fifteen participants on traditional methods of conservation and handling and storage of archival materials. The participants learnt to make natural adhesives like Starch paste that can be made with common household materials and are reliable in conservation. More so, our team members provided preventive conservation treatment for hundred books in the library.
